Guernsey Evacuees, BBC1, 6th Dec. at 7.30pm

Part of BBC North West’s ‘Inside Out’ programme on Mon 6 December, 7.30pm, told the story of a young Guernsey evacuee, Paulette Le Mescam who came to Cheshire in June 1940, and found comfort from an extraordinary transatlantic penpal – Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt. It was also shown on the Channel Islands via BBC1’s ‘Inside Out South West’ programme at 7.30pm on the same date. I have greatly enjoyed working with Peter Trollope at BBC Manchester on this programme. You can see a clip at:
